Abstract

In Finland, the University of Oulu has started planning for the International Joint Master’s Program in Circumpolar Health and Well-being, in co-operation with the universities of Manitoba, Tromsø and Luleå. The idea of the program is based on current needs and priorities of higher education in the context of the Circumpolar region, determined by several quarters concerning higher education. Many other circumpolar universities are negotiating to join in this program later.
