Abstract

Maritime piracy has caused many serious consequences for the international community as a direct result of the international trade movement and thus has had a destabilizing impact on the global economy. This is why the international community has moved to combat the crime of maritime piracy. Not only did States and organizations not only move, but there were active contributions by the private sector, which were commercial companies with their own interests in combating maritime piracy.
