Abstract

The International Association for Hydrogen Energy (IAHE) is an organization dedicated to the advancement and promotion of the Hydrogen Economy concept. The energy crisis in the early 1970s prompted many new ideas for global energy supply; one of them is the hydrogen economy. Membership to the IAHE is open. Membership benefits include a no cost subscription to the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, savings on all other IAHE publications, and reduced registration fees for the workshops, symposia, and conferences organized by the Association. The IAHE is governed by the Board of Directors. The core financial support for the IAHE has been through membership fees, which include journal subscriptions, and some income has been generated by the conferences and selling the books and proceedings. National hydrogen associations have been formed in many countries all over the world, some of which are loosely connected to the IAHE.
