Abstract
INVESTIGATIONS have been carried out on the systemic fungicidal action of substances from cultures of several fungi (including Actinomycetes) and bacteria. A suspension, obtained from a culture of Streptomyces rimosus from the Centraal Bureau voor Schimmelcultures at Baarn, Holland, behaved as a potent antibiotic against some bacteria and fungi, for example, Ascochyta pisi and Mycosphaerella pinodes.
