Abstract

The microwave rotational spectrum of phenylsilane has been investigated in the region from 8 to 27 GHz. From the m = 0 lines (a-type transitions) the rotational constant A′ (less silyl top) = 5702.96, B = 1499.574, C = 1187.118 MHz and the dipole moment μ = 0.845 have been determined. From the wide splitting of the lines | m| = 3, | K| = 1 the potential barrier has been derived as V 6 = 17.78 cal/mole.
