Abstract

The precipitation/re-dissolution of Mn-Ni-Si-based phase (MNPs) in Fe-1.6%Mn-1.0%Ni-0.2%Si (wt.%) RPV model steel under different aging temperatures was systematically studied using internal friction (IF) technique. It is clearly observed that the pinning/depinning effect of GB sliding results from the precipitation/re-dissolution of MNPs, which is also in favor of the corresponding variations in tensile strength and nanoindentation results.
