Abstract
The K and total conversion coefficients in the decay of 57Co are measured to be α K(136) = 0.122±0.013, α T(136) = 0.137±0.015, α K(122) = 0.0214±0.0012, α T(122) = 0.0240±0.0014, α K(14) = 9.1±0.8, α T(14) = 10.2±0.9. All published values of conversion coefficients of the 14 keV transition are summarized and weighted averages computed. The conversion coefficients of all three transitions are used to determine transition multipolarities. It is determined that (87.0±1.5)% of the transitions depopulating the 136 keV level are 122 keV transitions.
