Abstract

The factorial moments method described by Białas and Peschanski was used for the investigation of fluctuations in the pseudorapidity distribution of photons and hadrons produced in nine interactions of cosmic-ray particles at an energy of about 1000 TeV. Both electromagnetic and hadronic components of these events reveal very strong intermittent behavior in the total studied region (in the forward hemisphere).
