Abstract
In the compound (1S,5S)-5-methyl-1-(phenylsulfonyl)bicyclo[3.2.0]heptan-2-one, C14H16O3S, the cyclopentanone ring is in a twist conformation and the cyclobutane ring is puckered. The phenylsulfonyl and methyl groups are cis with respect to each other.
