Abstract

We consider the effects of an intermediate mass scale in supersymmetric SO(10) grand unification. If the intermediate symmetry is broken by Higgses in a 126, the values for sin 2 θ W decrease leading to good agreement with experiment. Moreover, the grand unification mass also decreases in some of the schemes. Left-right symmetry may be broken at the same mass scale.
