Abstract

In this research, a two-phase interleaved high gain dc-dc converter with extendable capability to k-phase converters is presented, which provides power switches with soft switching features. The input current of the proposed topology would be low due to employing interleaved techniques. In the proposed topology, the voltage stress of the power elements and clamped capacitors is low. Thus, the power density of the proposed converter would be high. The output of each phase is equipped with one diode-capacitor voltage multiplier (VM) cell. With increasing the phase number, the voltage gain increases. The number of phases and the turn ratios of the coupled inductors are freedom degrees, which are utilized for adjusting the across voltage of the utilized power components; this combination enhances the flexibility of the proposed converter. In addition, to confirm the accurate performance of the presented converter, some experimental results with a 990W converter prototype are presented.
