Abstract

This paper explores the standards and practice with regard to interim measures in the context of individual communications under the Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. The definition of relevant terms and requirements for filing a request for interim orders as set out by the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights is discussed, and the practice in regard to compliance with interim measures is looked into.
