Abstract

Arbitration is a mode of dispute settlement whereby, parties agree to submit to a neutral person in place of the Court, and the parties agree to be bound by the outcome. An award is the end product of arbitration but in some instances, necessity may warrant the issuance of certain order pre-arbitration or during arbitration in order to preserve the subject matter of the arbitration. This article will analyze the concept of interim measures, emergency arbitrator and the enforcement of interim awards.
