Abstract
Background: Background: IV thrombolysis is the approved medical treatment for acute stroke. However with time restriction and multiple contraindication, its use is still limited. Aspirin is the other alternative with presumed antiplatelet efficacy. Clopidogrel has a dose dependent more intense and instant antiplatelet effect with presumed loading benefit in acute settings.
