Abstract

The distribution, creep and pinning of intergranular vortices were studied at 77 K in Y1Ba2Cu3O7-δ in which the intergranular space was partly filled with silver. The reduction of the diamagnetic shielding, the trapped field as well as the activation energy for intergrain flux creep from 1.6 eV down to 0.3 eV were observed. This energy does not depend on grain decoupling and the number of pinning centers.
