Abstract

High-profile intergovernmental public sector conferences differ in many respects from private sector conferences in their planning and execution. Security arrangements, diplomatic protocols, and the involvement of many government stakeholders contribute to a complex logistical event. The events surrounding CHOGM2001/2002 are discussed to draw out the key differences between the two sectors.
