Abstract

We explored intergenerational value change in our study of 2,757 working adults classified as Generation Y, X and Baby Boomers in the developed country of the United States (N = 1,500), as compared to the developing countries of Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico (N = 1,257). The study expanded intergenerational value change theory concerning similarities and differences among generations. Research results indicated intergenerational value differences between developed and developing countries, but also crossvergence of motivational and value domains. Implications for managers and recommendations for future research were also highlighted.
