Abstract
To the Editor: A 34-year old female with a history of multiple sclerosis developed erythematous plaques on the thighs and hips at the site of subcutaneous injections of recombinant interferon-beta (IFN-β)-1b (Figs 1 and 2). She was self-administering 8 million international units every other day for 7 months. The reaction began a few months after the first injection. Each lesion resolved in approximately 1 month, without ulceration. Overall, the reaction was worsening with time. Topical steroids provided no relief.
