Abstract
The influences of ATP and trichloroacetic acid on the color development of molybdenum blue in the Fiske and Subbarow method for the determination of inorganic phosphate were investigated. From these results optimum concentrations of ATP and trichloroacetic acid were recommended. Satisfactory results were obtained in the determination of the ATPase activity of sarcoplasmic reticulum membranes isolated from rabbit skeletal muscle.
