Abstract
Because cosh-Airy beam possesses two field components with the different decay factors, there is the field components interference during the propagation. We investigate the interference effect of two beam components during the propagation of cosh-Airy beam in uniaxial crystals orthogonal to the optical axis. We find that, due to the anisotropy of the medium, the manifestations of interference effect are differ in the orthogonal direction and the parallel direction of the optical axis, it can be modulated by the optical parameters of cosh-Airy beam, such as the decay factor, the transverse scale factor, the cosh modulation function. We also know that, though the interference effect is determined by the parameters of the beam and anisotropy of the uniaxial crystals, its evolution period mainly depends on the transverse scale factor of the beam.
