Abstract

AbstractFor the evaluation of the interfacial adhesion in short‐fibre composites, a simple method based on fibre pull‐out length distribution was proposed. The experiments with three composites of isotactic polypropylene with 32 wt.‐% of short‐glass fibres confirm the potentials of the method for a sensitive determination of differences in the interfacial adhesion. The effects of temperature, crystallinity and fibre orientation angle on the interfacial adhesion were investigated.
