Abstract

As in other areas of the law which are sensitive to economic change, the jurisprudence relating to the exaction of interest under land mortgages and agreements for the pur chase and sale of land has undergone significant refinement in recent years. This paper seeks to provide a brief summary of the present law, and to identify some of the unresolved issues. No attempt has been made to analyze the authorities critically. Primarily it is hoped that the compilation of cases will provide a useful reference source for further research
