Abstract

The challenges in health care today require input and cooperation from everyone. Interdisciplinary teams are being promoted and used as one tool to achieve solutions to complex health care delivery problems. The case is illustrated with a discussion of the important role of computerized nursing information systems to document nurses' contributions to health care with the use of standardized languages.
