Abstract

This study is a first attempt to understand intercultural differences between Polish and foreign students studying in Poland. The key findings are as follows: 1) foreign students have more traditional views about family, respect parents view about future husband or wife, think that having sex before marriage is not acceptable, that gay couples should not be allowed to adopt children; 2) foreign students have large respect for the senior people, while Polish students think that there is very little that one can learn from older generations; 3) foreign students think that German cars are the best in the world, Polish students disagree; 4) foreign students are afraid about global warming, Polish students largely ignore this issue. The paper also presents that all students have similar views regarding their professional career, they want a good work-life balance, prefer working in the private sector.
