Abstract

1. The relative effect of nitrogen on the susceptibility of steels Kh(18-27)N20 to ICC is substantially greater than that of carbon. This is evident at nitrogen concentrations larger than the carbon concentration. 2. Chromium increases the resistance to ICC of nitrogen-containing steels more than that of carbon steels.
