Abstract

The results are reported of a neutron spectrometer intercomparison. The moderation spectrometer method, as one of the most used tools for dosimetric quantities determination, was applied in seven neutron reference fields installed in the Institute of High Energy Physics, USSR. The results obtained by five participants from various countries have shown that the integral characteristics of neutron fields, estimated from neutron spectra measurements, are over a wide neutron energy range, satisfactory for routine dosimetric and radiation protection practice
