Abstract

Substantial interjudge differences in stuttering-event counts have been repeatedly demonstrated in previous research. Kully and Boberg (1988) suggested the possibility of interclinic differences as well, but their study was not designed to distinguish interclinic differences from interjudge differences. The present study demonstrates both interclinic and interjudge disagreements in relatively experienced judges' identifications of stuttering events.
