Abstract

The mechanism of energy transport in alpha-helical protein was modeled by Davydov and Scott. The inter-channel interaction between the three channels of alpha-helical protein and damping effect on the probability amplitude of amide-I energy is investigated in this paper. The study results a set of three coupled non-linear Schrodinger equation. The resulting coupled NLS is analyzed by Hirota bilinear method. The results show that the inter-channel interaction result in the greater amplitude. Meanwhile the damping term has no contribution to the change of soliton amplitude, but it make the soliton propagation slower.
