Abstract

Technical product development is split into four phases, i. e. conceptualization - design - development - testing. Typical activities in each of these phases help to illustrate the actual state of interactive computer-assisted development in small and intermediate enterprises. The definition of the general objectives to be met by future interactive systems is followed by a summary of already acquired experience. An outlook to possible steps toward the development of an integrated overall system is given.
