Abstract
Iron and vanadium are among the major metal contaminantf found in typical petroleum-based refinery catalysts. A study was initiated to understand the interactions of iron and vanadium oxides on an alumina support subjected to high temperature calcination treatments. FCC catalyst regeneration, FCC SOx removal, and resid catalyst regeneration are three areas for which studies of iron-vanadium-ssupport interactions are desirable.
