Abstract
The nonlinear interaction of sound waves in a lossless fluid is considered theoretically. The basic equations are valid to square-order terms in the acoustic variables. The structure and origin of various terms, and their effect on the solution, are discussed. Emphasis is given to the effects of nonlinear on-source conditions, illustrated with plane wave models.
