Abstract

The subject of this contribution is the numerical simulation of the interaction of two-dimensional incompressible viscous fluid flow with a vibrating airfoil. A solid elastically supported airfoil with two degrees of freedom, which can rotate around the elastic axis and oscillate in the vertical direction, is considered. The numerical simulation is based on the finite volume method and the Arbitrary-Lagrangian-Eulerian method is used. The numerical results obtained by the modified open-source code OpenFOAM are shown.
