Abstract

The authors solve the classical equations for a Yang-Mills field of potential type for a theory described by the effective Lagrangian obtained previously in the framework of quantum chromodynamics with allowance for gluon self-interaction in the infrared region. In the problem of the interaction of a test color charge with the color source, the chromoelectric solution leads to a potential having Coulomb behavior at infinity.
