Abstract

AbstractThe expansion of a high-pressure gas cloud in a vacuum chamber in the presence of a low-pressure background gas is considered. The interaction of the expanding cloud with the background gas and with a perforated screen placed in the path of the flow is modeled numerically. The influence of the permeability of the screen on the overall picture of the interaction and on the parameters of the resulting flow is studied.
