Abstract
We have developed a general method of solving the Schrodinger equation for an atom interacting with strong classical monochromatic radiation. The method gives exact formal solutions independent of the intensity of the radiation. In the case of a small number of atomic levels interacting with the field these solutions can be quite simply reduced to numerical results.
