Abstract

Abstract Analyzing powers and cross sections have been obtained for the (p,2p) reaction on 16O and 40Ca for a variety of incident proton energies and outgoing angle pairs. The calculations are based on a finite-range, relativistic DWIA formalism that includes dynamical recoil effects and have been carried out with three different input t-matrices of relativistic Love-Franey form. Distortions are incorporated by means of relativistic, energy-dependent optical potentials. It is found that the dependence of the calculated observables on the choice of input t-matrix is rather weak.
