Abstract

Vortex pinning in a type-II superconducting Pb film covering a Co/Pt multilayer with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy is investigated. At low temperatures band domain patterns enhance the pinning of vortices, whereas at temperatures close to the critical temperature the magnetic response of the superconductor is suppressed due to the inhomogeneous stray field of the domain patterns.
