Abstract

This report presents results from an investigation of fiber bond by pull out tests. Different deformed steel fibers in cement based matrixes are tested. The interaction between fiber bond by pull out tests and properties of the composite, the “multi-effect” and the “angle-effect” are discussed. These results are discussed in relation to each other and compared with developed theories. The report concludes that the interaction between steel fibers and cement based matrixes is of a very complex mechanical nature where the low tensile and shear strength of the matrix become the limiting factors when the fiber anchorage is increasing. The tests are presented more in detail in[9].
