Interaction between neutron particle-hole and octupole core-coupled states in N = 83 nuclei

Abstract

We have studied both experimentally and theoretically the interplay between the particle octupole core-coupled states ( Jπ = 1 2 +,…, 13 2 + ) and the low-lying neutron 2p-1h intruder excitations with the neutron hole moving in the s 1 2 −1 , 2 d 3 2 −1 , and 1 h 11 2 −1 orbitals in odd-mass N = 83 nuclei.
