Abstract

Previous studies of the dynamic and thermodynamic similarity of the peak and minimum pool boiling heat fluxes provide a basis for correlating variable-gravity data. This method is explained and applied to existing data. The dependence of the extreme heat fluxes upon g1/4, developed by Zuber for the flat plate geometry, is shown to be inapplicable in other geometries.
