Abstract
Apart from generating fascinating, complex and sometimes terrifying worlds, the field of science fiction has been used to raise concerns about the human condition, its present and, above all, its future. Nowadays, while the advance of science dissolves the barrier between fiction and reality, cinema rescues the doubts and fears that the collective unconscious seems to have about the true power of technology.
