Abstract
The peculiarities of intensive therapy in 5 patients with Dupuytrens phlegmons complicated by mediastinitis and respiratory distresses are considered. The prolonged artificial pulmonary ventilation in the positive pressure regime in the expiration end of prevents not only respiratory insufficiency but phlegmon propagation from lower neck parts into the chest, as well as improves mediastinum drainage.
