Abstract
Intensified treatment of glycaemic excursions has become the standard of care for all insulin-dependent diabetic women. This paper reviews the rationale for intensified insulin treatment programs and offers the algorithms of one approach to achieve and maintain normoglycaemia throughout pregnancy.
