Abstract

Recently, work has been carried out on the reconstruction of the technical base of the oil refining industry of our country (refinery named after H. Aliyev). These works are accompanied by the modernization of existing production facilities (catalytic cracking, AVT, etc.) and the creation of new processes (including MTBE, isomerization, etc.). The operation of new processes, operating mainly on the basis of liquefied gas, affects the quantitative and qualitative indicators of raw materials sent to the petrochemical industry. On the other hand, the observed increase in demand for petrochemical products in our country and the expansion of raw material reserves entail the development of the petrochemical industry and the construction of new units in the SNCC. The expansion of production volumes of large-tonnage processes, such as polyethylene, polypropylene, etc., creates the basis both for meeting the needs of the country and for increasing the export potential. Thus, this article presents the results of studies conducted to determine the impact of reconstruction work in the oil refining industry on the production of petrochemicals.
