Abstract

This study aims to determine (1). Effect of investment knowledge on the intention to invest in the Islamic capital market (2). Effect of socialization on the intention to invest in the Islamic capital market, and (3) Effect of knowledge and socialization on the intention to invest in the Islamic capital market. The object of this research is the millennial community of Banten Province, with a total population of 3.345 million and a sample of 77 millennials. The research method used is a quantitative-descriptive method. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression method through SPSS version 23 program. The results of this study indicate that (1). Knowledge has a significant positive effect on the intention to invest in the Islamic capital market, this result is based on the t-value of the investment knowledge variable which is greater than the t-table value (5.501>1.668) and the significance value is smaller than the alpha value (0.000<0.05). (2). Socialization has a significant positive effect on the intention to invest in the Islamic capital market, this result is based on the t-value of the investment socialization variable which is greater than the t-table value (7.040>1.668) and the significance value is smaller than the alpha value (0.000<0.05), and (3 ) Knowledge and socialization have a significant positive effect on the intention to invest in the Islamic capital market, this conclusion is based on the calculated F value is greater than F table (62.204>3.14) and the significance value is smaller than the alpha value (0.000<0.05). The total influence of knowledge and socialization on the intention to invest in the Islamic capital market is 61.7 percent, while the remaining 38.3 percent is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
