Abstract

Summary form only given, as follows. Hollow electron beam are widely used in such devices as gyrotron, free electron laser (FEL), and other gyro-devices in relativistic and no relativistic regimes [I-21. In this paper the results of experimental research of low-voltage electron gun of magnetron type with great space charge and its application in BWT are given. Measurements of parameter of electron beam were canied out in two regimes: continuous up to I kV and pulse up to 25 kV. Electron beam focusing was carried out in longitudinal magnetic field with displacement up to 4 kgausses. The quality of formed hollow cylindrical electron beam with diameter 7 mm and thickness 0,s mm were estimated by brilliance in collector and further photograph of its configuration. Maximum electron beam density in continuous regime was 10 Aicm?. Experiments of modeling electron beam were carried out in BWT of 2 cm wave range both in continuous and in pulse regimes with minus first space harmonic. We used circular cylindrical system with diameter 8 mm as ecelerating system in BWT. Obtained generation in wide band indicate high parameters of modeled electron gun, which can be recommended for slow wave devices.
