Abstract

Summary form only given. We have demonstrated DUV pulses generated by non-degenerate four-wave mixing through filamentation in neon gas. The pulse energy easily reaches ten micro joule order or more. The generated spectra, centered at 267 nm and 200 nm, are broad enough to be 10-fs pulses. The 267 nm pulses were compressed down to 13 fs by a single-pass grating compressor and characterized by TG-FROG. Even after the lossy grating compressor, we can expect several micro joule pulse energy which is sufficient for spectroscopy. The DUV ultrashort pulse generation method can be alternative approach to construct practical light source for ultra-high time-resolution photoelectron spectroscopy.
