Intelligent Trend for Telecommunications Networks’ Energy Equipment

Abstract

This paper proposes that the goal of intelligence of energy equipment in telecommunications networks is to achieve higher energy availability and higher energy efficiency in telecommunications networks, and better use experience of telecommunications network energy. The paper recognizes that the intelligence of telecommunications networks’ energy equipment is mainly reflected in the digitization of energy equipment’s system architecture and components, the intelligence of power supply modes, the automatic improvement of energy efficiency, the intelligence of fault diagnosis, the intelligence of operation and maintenance, and the intelligence of operations. In this paper, we propose that we should learn from the intelligence experience in the field of information and communication to upgrade the intelligence level of communication network' energy equipment, so as to bring about the continuous improvement of energy availability and the continuous reduction of TCO.
