Abstract
AbstractThis paper describes various challenges faced by rescue vehicles like ambulance and fire station van during high traffic zones and peak hour management. Recent studies have revealed that there is increased rate of mortality due to time loss in these high traffic regions like urban development areas. India is a growing country and requires attention given to the traffic management which has been a major pressing issue in many other developed countries. In order to reduce these losses, researchers have proposed installment of smart traffic management system that could assist in ease flow of these rescue vehicles during high traffic areas. In this paper, we have introduced a novel methodology that could provide assistance by clear traffic in path dedicated by rescue vans. Additional properties are also introduced that could provide ease movement by clear few public areas like toll gates. Further modifications can be done, so that we can deploy the device in real-time environment. We can implement it in even mobile devices so that could reduce equipment maintenance. We shall evaluate the above ideas using a circuit model comprising Arduino device components, Bluetooth-oriented circuit components, and light-related circuit components.KeywordsEmergency response vehiclesSmart sense traffic lightsAndroid applicationArduino programming
