Intelligent Infrastructure and Transportation: A Case of Passenger Transportation System in Jaipur City of Rajasthan

Abstract

Development in the field of technology and its penetration to the extent that ease the life of common man in any economy in general and urban areas in particular are very much needed in today’s world. Technological development and its uses in domain like agriculture, industry, banking and finance, transportation, infrastructure, and many more play an important role in any economic system. Intelligent infrastructure and transportation is need of hour. In Indian content particularly, there are certain urban center where due to inadequate intelligent infrastructure and transportation facilities, it is not only creating problems for its population in terms of easy accessibility or mobility but at the same time hampering the growth of city too along with generations of many other problems. Thus, having learnt that technological development plays an important role, an attempt is being made in this paper to look at intelligent infrastructure and transportation system to solve various problems associated with public transportation system in Jaipur city of Rajasthan, since the city is facing severe problems associated with passenger movement along with available transport facilities. Also, an attempt is being made to understand how best the system be developed so it can help the city to grow further. Hence, for this bus transport with reference to passenger movement in Jaipur is taken into consideration as a case for the purpose of the study. Also, this paper is proposing real-life situation which would be analytical and technological based in relation with intelligent transportation and intelligent infrastructure.
